Please note that the above Google Map is not quite aware that Newport has a South Main Street, a Main Street and a North Main Street. We are just up from where the "A" Pin is beyond Central Street.
Nestled in the heart of Newport at 42 Main Street, between Hubert's Clothing Store and Debi's Florist and just opposite the District Court House. Our location has not changed since 1938, and even then only about a hundred yards from where it was established in 1876.
Directions
From White River Junction, VT/Lebanon, NH:
I89 south to exit 13.
Bear right off ramp. This places you onto Route 10 south; continue through the villages of Grantham, Croydon, and through Croydon Flat before entering the Town of Newport, please be mindful of the speed limits in these areas. From exit 13 this is about a 15 minute ride. As you enter Newport the Middle High School will be on your left, approximately ¾ of a mile you will continue straight through onto Main street passing the traffic circle on your left to a divided Main Street with parking north and south bound. When the divider ends you will see the Funeral Home to your left.
Parking is available anywhere along Main Street and also in our rear parking lot. Enter the lot from the South side driveway next to Hubert’s.
From Southern Vermont/MA/CT/RI
From Interstate 91 North: Exit 8 in Vermont and marked as Windsor/Ascutney {{Start distance from here ~5 miles from this point to Claremont and next turn}}
Bear Right off the exit. An Irving/Circle K station will be on your left.
Go straight through the stoplight just ahead, continue on there will be another stoplight another mile further ahead, continue straight. After you travel up and then back down the road with the Sugar River is on your right, there will be a flashing Yellow light at the bottom of North Street and Lambert’s Home Supply just beyond on the left.
Turn left here at flashing Yellow, up onto North Street.
Go all the way to the end, just over 1 mile, passing through 2 stoplights.{{About 9 miles from this point to Newport}}
Turn Left on the Route 103 East. There are a number of businesses along here before leaving Claremont (Wal-mart, Pizza Hut, Staples, Home Depot etc.)
As you come into Newport (note speed limits) you will pass through a stoplight with McDonald’s on right.
Take a left the Next Light onto RT 10, this is Main Street.
The Funeral Home is about 300 yards on the right just beyond Hubert’s Clothing Store. Parking is available anywhere along Main Street and also in our rear parking lot. Enter the lot from the South side driveway next to Hubert’s.
From Keene, NH
Follow Route 10 North directly into Newport. You will come to a set of traffic lights, continue straight through. The Funeral Home is about 300 yards on the right just beyond Hubert’s Clothing Store.
Parking is available anywhere along Main Street and also in our rear parking lot. Enter the lot from the South side driveway next to Hubert’s.
From Boston/Manchester, NH via I89
North on I93 to Concord, NH, take I89 North. This will be the first ramp after the Hooksett tollbooths and State Rest Area. Continue on I89 to exit 12.
Turn left at the end of the ramp. This is RT 11 Newport is 20 minutes from here. Continue on through Georges Mills and Sunapee; please be mindful of the speed limits in these areas. Five miles out of Sunapee Routes 11 and 103 merge and the road makes a long turn to the right, Radio Shack is on your right. Continue on to Newport. The Pine Grove Cemetery is halfway between on your right. As you enter the Town of Newport, you will be coming down a long gradual hill, and will see the Fire Department on your immediate left. This brings you the traffic circle from the East. Yield to North and Southbound traffic.
Proceed around the traffic circle so you end up making a left onto to a divided Main Street with parking north and south bound. When the divider ends you will see the Funeral Home to your left.
