Alma (Garner) Murphy

Alma Garner Murphy, 88, peacefully passed away April 18, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Sunapee, NH.

She moved to Reidsville, NC in the 1940’s where she met her beloved husband of 56 years, Thomas Murphy, who predeceased her in 2001. Although she spent the last few years in NH, NC never left her heart.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Harry Gale of Sunapee, NH and was the proud grandma of Benjamin Townsend of Sunapee, NH and Katherine Townsend of Arlington, MA.

A service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Reidsville, NC at 11:00 A.M. with burial to follow in Greenville Cemetery.
