Clara M. (Fraser) Clement

Newport, NH-Clara M. (Fraser) Clement, 86, died Monday, November 23, 2015 at Woodlawn Healthcare Center where she had resided for the past two years.

She was born in Somerville, MA on May 22, 1929 the daughter of Leland I. and Mae (Mason) Fraser.

She graduated from Lexington, MA High School and worked in manufacturing.  Most recently she had been employed by Sturm Ruger.  Clara was a Foster Grammy at Richards School and had been active at the Newport Senior Center.

She loved spending time with her family, traveling, walking and sewing.

Clara was predeceased by her husband, George E. Clement, Jr.; a grandson, Robert Curtis III; her parents and six siblings, Minnie Hayes, Jeanie MacGilveray, Janette Brown, Albert Fraser, Louis Fraser and Robert Fraser.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Curtis of Guild, NH and Barbara Johnson and her husband, Thomas of Unity, NH; a granddaughter, Jessica Thibodeau and her husband, Jonathan and a great granddaughter, Ashlynn Marie; a brother, Edward Fraser of MA; many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, Newport, NH on Sunday, May 22, 2016.
