Dave A. Davis

Sunapee, NH-Dave A. Davis, 61, of Nutting Road, died Saturday, October 31, 2015 at his home after a long illness.

He was born in Newport, NH on January 29, 1954 the son of Gordon G. and Florence E. (Hill) Davis.

He graduated from Sunapee High School in 1972 and then did some logging with his father.  Dave worked for Carroll Concrete for many years and then for LaValley for seven years.  Most recently he was employed by Durgin and Crowell as a crane operator for seven years and only retired
at the end of September because of his health. 

He was a huge NasCar Fan following Rusty Wallace and then Denny Hamlin.  He also really enjoyed the Patriots and Red Sox and pretty much all New England sports.  His dogs were very important to him especially Girlie and Rusty and his present dog, Todd.

Members of his family surviving include his wife of 40 years, Sally (Duffey) Davis of Sunapee, NH; his son, Corey and his wife, Lisa Davis of Newport, NH; his daughter, Kathleen Davis of Sunapee, NH; four grandchildren, Kaela, Austin, Colin and Brenden; a brother, Dennis Davis of Sunapee, NH; two sisters, Donna and her husband, Bill Larrow of Georges Mills, NH and Melissa Royal of VA; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH with The Rev. Donna Leslie, officiating.  Burial will follow in South Sunapee Cemetery.
