Jerri S. (Young) Bruno

Lempster, NH: Jerri S. Bruno, 59, of Hurd Road in Lempster, died on March 21, 2017 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 29, 1957 in Newport, NH.

Jerri graduated from Newport schools and has lived in the area all of her life. She was the former Chief of Police in Goshen and Lempster. She worked as a bailiff in the Newport court and on the ambulance. Her latest job was in quality control for Amerigas. Jerri liked to bake and really enjoyed kayaking and hiking with her dog, Taffy. She ran the NIMMA Karate School in Newport and loved her time there. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them and the rest of her family.

Jerri was predeceased by her parents and by her husband, Edward Bruno, Sr.

Surviving family members include her sons, Edward "Eddie" Bruno and his wife Kim of Lempster, NH and Edward "EJ" Bruno of Concord, NH, and grandchildren, Ryleigh, Alyssa, Wyatt, and Marissa Bruno.

A celebration of life and time to visit with the family will be held on Saturday April 1, 2017 from 1 to 3 P.M. at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Newport, NH.
