Karl E. Winters

Karl E Winters of Sunapee, NH passed away unexpectedly surrounded by family at DHMC on June 28th 2016.

Karl leaves behind his wife of 38 years Kathi Winters of Sunapee NH. Two sons, Joe Romeo and his wife Tracy of Newport, Eric Craven and his wife Pauline of Longmeadow, Ma. Four daughters, Kerry Winters of Newbury, Helen Romeo of Concord and Kathleen Winters of Claremont, Sally Martin and her husband Jarrett of Sunapee. Two Brothers, Rolf Winters and his wife Sue of S. Thomaston ME, Paul Winters of Chicopee, MA. His mother Marion Winters of Chicopee, Ma.  14 grandchildren & 4 great grandchilden. He is predeceased by his father Fredrick Winters of Chicopee Ma and a nephew Karl Winters of S. Thomaston Me. 

After spending the first half of his life in Chicopee Karl moved to the Sunapee area in 1976. Karl had many passions. Among them were golfing, skiing, riding his Harley, time with his family but his greatest passion was the love of his life & high school sweetheart, Kathi.  Karl had an enormous heart and great sense of humor and loved to help whenever he could. Weather it was fixing a broken computer or a broken car Karl was always there to lend a hand. Karl was employed by NCR for 35 yrs before retiring in 2006. After retiring Karl found his love for teaching at Mt Sunapee. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Calling hours will be Friday July 1st at 6-8pm at Newton-Bartlett Funeral home, Newport NH. Services will be held July 2nd at 12pm at Newton-Bartlett with graveside services immediately follow. There will be a celebration of Karl’s life following the services July 2nd at the Newport Golf Course pavilion
