Lillian S (Elfstrom) Zullo

Newport-NH -  Lillian S Zullo, 90 passed away on February 11, 2017, with her husband and daughter by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Lillian was born in Fitchburg, MA on September 24, 1926, and has lived in Newport since 1938.  Lillian is survived by her husband Oliver L Zullo, whom she married on July 6th, 1946.  They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in July 2016.

Lillian spent her life as a loving mother and wife.  Professionally, she worked as secretary to the Superintendent of Schools, was a teller, and then head teller, at Newport Savings bank, and served for twenty years as Secretary at the Newport Senior Center.

Lillian is survived by her children, James P Zullo, Lisa Z Bellman, and Patricia A Taylor. She was loved and adored by her eight grandchildren, James Zullo, Jeremy Zullo, Terri Zullo, Hillary LeDuc, Heather Gagnon, Alexander Bellman, Roland Taylor, and Joseph Taylor.  She was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren.

Lillian was predeceased by her brother, Berger Rudolph Elfstrom Jr. in 2003, her sister, Nancy Collins in 1983, and is survived by her sister Shirley Patten.

There will be a graveside service in the Spring.  Memorial donations in Lillian's name may be made to Newport Senior Center, PO Box 387, Newport, NH 03773.
