Louis C. Marr

Newport, NH-Louis C. Marr, 75, of Hickery Road, died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Sullivan County Healthcare in Unity, NH.

He was born on October 11, 1940 the son of Clarence P. and Dorothy (Charles) Marr and was a native and lifelong resident of Newport.
Louis worked as a Fixer for Dartmouth Woolen Mill in Claremont for over 30 years and was employed by Valley Regional Hospital for 15 years.

He loved being outdoors and hunting, fishing, camping and gardening.  He also took great pleasure in stacking his wood. 

He was predeceased by a daughter, Roxanne Gordon, a sister, Cindy Scanlon and a brother, Phillip Marr. 

Members of his family surviving include his wife of 47 years, Patricia Ann (Merrill) Marr of Newport, NH; a daughter and her husband, Rhonda and Keith Thompson of White River Junction, VT; daughter and her family, Tami Hornbaker of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; a son, Phillip Cricenti of New London, NH;  five grandchildren, James, Tiffany, Josh, Amanda and Candice; several great grandchildren;  a brother and his wife, Michael and Melanie Marr of Plattsburg, NY; a sister, Sheila Marr of Alexandria, VA; nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 12:00-1:00 P.M. with a service to follow at 1:00 P.M.  Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Newport, NH.
