Michael A Boyle, Sr.

Newport, NH: Michael A. Boyle, Sr., 70, died at the VA Medical Center in White River Junction, VT on March 27, 2017 after a yearlong battle with cancer.  He was born on May 25, 1946 in Claremont, NH to the late Charles J. Boyle, Sr. and Catherine "Bertha" (Tarrien) Boyle. 

Mike grew up in the area and has lived here his whole life.  He served his country in the US Army during Vietnam.  He worked for more than 20 years at Claremont Woven Label and ran his own carburetor repair service. 

Mike enjoyed the outdoors, cutting his own firewood, doing tree work, and working on tractors.  He liked mowing his thirteen-acre property off of Maple Street.  He was an avid Patriots fan and loved watching them win their last couple of Super Bowl victories.

Mike battled addiction for many of his younger years but was proud of quitting smoking and being sober for over twenty years. 

Mike was predeceased by his parents and by a brother, Timothy Boyle.

Surviving family members include his son, Michael Boyle, Jr., stepchildren, Gordon, David, and Steven Clough and Cheryl (Clough) Howard, brother, Charles Boyle, Jr. and his wife, Betty of Newport, granddaughter, Jessica Boyle, uncle Carl Tarrien and his wife, Donna, cousin, Robert Boyle, and ex-wife, Lucille Boyle.
