Oliver "O.L." L. Kemp

Sunapee, NH - O.L. Kemp, Oliver Lucien Kemp, 80, died on May 10, 2016 at Elm Wood Center in Claremont.  He was born on August 11, 1935 in Newport to the late Robert W. and Eloise M. (Smith) Kemp.

Oliver grew up in the Newport area graduating from Towle High School with the class of 1954.  He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1954 - 1958.  He operated O.L. Kemp and Sons Concrete in the 1960's and 70's.  He was a talented stone mason building many fireplaces, chimneys, and stonewalls around Lake Sunapee, Eastman and Grantham.  Oliver was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He enjoyed spending his winters in Panama City Beach, FL.

                                                         
Oliver was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Virginia (Lake) Kemp, son, Stephen M. Kemp, daughter, Deborah (Kemp) Partridge, granddaughter, Mandy L. Partridge, and brother, Melvin "Bubba" Kemp.

He is survived by sons, Michael Kemp and his wife Pamela of Sunapee, NH, Kevin Kemp and his wife Amy of Claremont, NH, Robert Kemp of Claremont, NH, daughter, Darlene Pelton and her husband Keith of Charlestown, NH, brother Robert Kemp of California, 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

At his request, no services will be held.  A celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to thank the staff at Elm Wood Center for taking excellent care of him. And also thank you to his neighbor Charlie for years of helping and Shawna Bell for your ray of sunshine that you would bring every week...
