Paul left this world peacefully on Wednesday, March 30th surrounded by his family.  His spirit will be carried on by his wife, sons, daughters-in-law and grandson.  We have all been blessed to learn many life lessons from him - to do what you love and to always be humble and kind.

Following Paul’s passing we found a list among his papers of his “Life Goals”.  His goals were simple: “to relax and enjoy life: gardening, fishing, cutting wood, kayaking, weather watching, sitting on the porch or by the fire and helping other people.”  Paul was a very spiritual person and there is no doubt that he is now in a beautiful place, so much he deserved.

Paul’s professional career began as a river forecaster with the U.S. Weather Bureau.  He then became a hydrogeologist with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection before founding Marin Environmental, Inc.  For the last decade Paul was a commercial real estate broker.

Paul is survived by his wife of 34 years, Nancy, his son Matt and wife Danielle Marin of Middletown, RI and son Tom and wife Courtney Marin of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, his grandson William who gave him pure joy and his best buddy, his golden retriever Dusty.

Paul's family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for their loving care and support for Paul and his family.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday April 9th at the New London Inn, 353 Main Street, New London, NH 03257.  Lunch will be served at 1pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Coast Guard Foundation at Coast Guard Foundation
