Priscilla Bailey Ferris

Priscilla B. Ferris, 79, of Newport, NH passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015. She was born in Union Village, VT on June 25, 1936 the daughter of Archiebald and Florence (Ilsley) Bailey. She raised her family in Guilford, CT, moved to Sunapee, NH in 1981, and then moved to Newport, NH in the year of 2000.

Priscilla enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking, shopping, and whistling along to Country music. She was genuine, selfless, full of joy, very patient and understanding, fun to be around, and was honest and trust worthy. Her family was everything to her. She was a hard-working mother who raised eight children. She loved being a mom and found fulfillment in that role in life. She will be greatly missed. 

The loved ones she left behind includes her husband. David C. Ferris, of 62 years. Her eight children in descending order: David Ferris III; Bernard Ferris; Ronald Ferris; Brian Ferris and his wife Christine; Pamela Chute and her husband Leander; Jane White and her husband David; Patricia Greenwood and her husband Patrick; and Diane Callum and her husband Lance. She also left behind 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

There will be a Memorial Service/Celebration of Life held at The Moose Lodge located at 18 Golf Club Road, Newport, NH 03773 at 11am on Saturday, November 21, 2015.
