Ruth M. Worrad

Newport, NH - Ruth M. Worrad, 99, of Newport, NH, passed away October 30, 2017 at Hanover Terrace in Hanover, NH after a brief period of declining health.  Ruth was born April 25, 1918 in Nashua, NH, the daughter of Claude and Flora (Cushing) Maker of Merrimack, NH.  She grew up in Merrimack and graduated from McGaw Institute in 1935 ad Keene Teachers College in 1939.

On December 27, 1942, she married Stanley V. Worrad and they shared 62 years of marriage.  They moved to Newport in 1958, where he was involved in the shoe industry and she became a home economics teacher in the Newport and later in the Claremont school districts.

She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley in 2005; her brother, Dr. Wilber Maker, and sister-in-law, Adair of Harland, VT. Survivors include her son  Bruce and his wife Charlene, of Newport; her grandson, Joseph and his wife Mariam, also of Newport; a sister-in-law, Madaline Langley of Merrimack, NH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

All arrangements are private and held at the convenience of the family.
