Welcome to the memorial page for

Scott A. Bentley

November 25, 2015

Sunapee, NH-Scott A. Bentley, 49, of Sargent Road, Sunapee, former manager of Village Pizza and Pizza Chef,  passed away on November 25, 2015 after a long illness.

Scott, much like his father, was extremely generous with his time and resources, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.  He was also known for his great sense of humor and for trying to see the positive in any situation.  Not surprisingly, many people considered him their best friend.

Scott was very proud of his Scottish heritage and an avid devotee of the Highland Games.  A Volkswagen enthusiast, his variety of interests included four-wheeling, motorcycling and snowmobiling.  He was also a spiritual man though did not affiliate himself with any particular denomination.

His greatest love was for his son, Aidan, to whom he was extremely devoted and also to his brother and sisters, Debra Gonyea of Newport, NH, Robert Bentley of Andover, NH, Susan Hanson of Kellyville, NH and Heather Bentley of Pembroke, NH.  He is also survived by a multitude of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, a great grandniece and cousins.

Friends may call at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 P.M.  A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 12:00 Noon in Pine Grove Cemetery, Newport, NH with The Rev. Donna Leslie, officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Aidan Bentley, c/o Kim Bentley, Sugar River Bank, P.O. Box 569, Newport, NH  03773 or to gofundme.com
