Croydon and formerly Windham, NH: Tristin C. Roy, 32, beloved wife and mother, died August 10, 2011, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident while cycling on Route 10 in Croydon.
Tristin was born in Manchester, NH, on August 25, 1978, daughter of Timothy L. and Wendy (Vachon) Carter. She was raised and educated in Windham and graduated from Pinkerton Academy in the Class of 1996. She continued her education at the University of New Hampshire receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Conservation and found work at TomTom, formerly Tele Atlas, in Lebanon where she was still employed. On April 27, 2002, she married Daniel J. Roy and shared over 9 years and together had one child, Erika G., three years ago. They have lived in Croydon since 2004. Tristin’s life revolved around her husband and daughter. She loved to cook, work on the house, was very creative and crafty, an avid reader and greatly enjoyed her music.
Survivors in addition to Danny and Erika, include her parents, Tim and Wendy Carter of Windham, NH, her paternal grandfather, Benjamin C. Carter of Webster, her brother: Tyler L. Carter of Lowell, MA, her in-laws: Glenn & Mary Roy of Windsor, MA, a sister-in-law: Jennifer Leighfield and her husband, Jed, of Lancaster, MA, an uncle: Dan Vachon and his wife, Mary, of Ashland, NH, 6 aunts: Kathy Henderson and her husband, David, of Thornton, NH, Debra Thorne and her husband, David, of Chichester, NH, Tia Boyce of Plymouth, Laurie Grant of Fairlee, VT, Janet Broker and her husband, Clifford, of Webster, NH, Judith Chary and her husband, Henry, of Newmarket, NH and numerous cousins.
Friends may call on the family Monday August 15, 2011, from 5-8PM at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street in Newport, NH.
Services will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, August 16th at the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd, 17 Park Street in Newport. Rev. Jack Topolewski will be officiating. A reception will follow at the Old Courthouse Restaurant in Newport. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
