Brian William McGirr

Newport, NH - Brian W. McGirr, 70, of Newport, NH passed away suddenly at New London Hospital on April 9, 2018.

Brian was the owner of a shoe shop for numerous years, loved music, and was an avid photographer, always willing to chase the Great Gray Owl of Newport during the winter of 2017.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gail (Dascomb) McGirr, and many extended family members.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home in Newport, NH. A brief visitation will take place at 3 PM before a funeral service at 4 PM at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home on Saturday, April 14th, 2018. A reception will immediately follow at the Newport Recreation Department at 5 PM.
