Dear Dresser Family, so sad and very sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. I have so many fond memories, past and present. When I was in first grade, she drove me to school in her very fancy car, was it a TBird? She had the best spirit, always happy and with a smile, quite a sparkle in her eye too. As we all know, her Wave Petunias were the best around, she was proud of them and she should be. The biggest compliment was your parents trusted me to babysit for all of you, Cindy was really the leader, not me. I was always asleep on the couch when they came home... embrace your special memories and somehow get through this, just does not seem fair. Love & hugs to you all, Jill

Dear Bernie, Cindy, Lori, and Family Members

Growing up in Hardwick, VT, Cyn and I became the BEST OF FRIENDS. This friendship began when we both entered the first grade and continued right through our 1955 high school graduation. We shared our academic and social lives with one another always. Often we SUPPED and did OVERNIGHTS either at Cyn's home or at my home. I came to know her Dad and Mom, and brother, Bill like a SECOND family and she came to know my family in the same regard. We were inseparable. She went off to college as did I...she became a teacher as did I, but in different locales. Nevertheless, we kept in close contact. Cyn and Ken eventually moved to NH, and I and my husband moved to Ticonderoga, NY. Even though our contact with one another slackened, it DIDN'T END...we kept in touch...especially on our birthdays and the holidays via PHONE or MAIL. And over the years we always attended our HIGH SCHOOL REUNION which occurred every five years in Hardwick. She was my BEST FRIEND and I shall miss her with heartfelt sadness. May Cyn REST IN PEACE and GOD LOVE HER. My sincerest condolences to you, your families, and to Cyn's many Newport, NH friends.

With LOVE AND PRAYERS, Toby

Cindy, Bernie, Lori and family,

As I write this, your family is preparing to say goodbye to a very special lady. Thinking about your Mom puts a smile on my face. Boy, did she have a sense of humor! Heaven is a little brighter today. So sorry for your loss.

It is with great sadness we mourn the the lost of Cynthia. She was a great wife, great home maker and a great friend, especially to the Violette family. Living next to Woodhull's market when they moved to Newport. The friendship and being our neighbors was priceless. She had the best dry sense of humor. She was our #1 customer at Woodhull's Market. We always looked forward to her coming to the store.
Cynthia & Ken (Red) were icons in Newport. We loved you very very much. Your family, Cyndy Lou, Lori & Bernie will continue to uphold your tradition. You taught them well.

I was so sorry to read about Cynthia's passing. I have such fond memories of her. For quite some time 'Mrs. Dresser' (as we all called her) would substitute at Towle School. She always did a great job and had the kids all loving her as well. I remember her allowing them to play 'quiet ball' if they completed what needed to be done. The kids all loved playing. It was a fun game. I too remember Cynthia coming out onto her porch as we'd walk the students to Meadow Park for whatever the occasion. She always gave us a nice smile and wave.
We're sorry for your loss. Cynthia was a great person.

We are so very sorry to hear of Mrs. Dresser's passing. She was a constant presence on our walks to and from meadow park. She always took time to talk when we would see her outside watering her beautiful flowers.
