Cynthia J. (Moulton) Walker

Newport, NH: Cynthia J. Walker, 59, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 3, 2019 after losing her battle with cancer.  She was born on February 18, 1959 in Bellows Falls, VT to Ethel (Hurd) Moulton and the late John Moulton.

Cynthia grew up in Alstead NH, graduated from Fall Mountain Regional High School, and then later from River Valley Community College with an Associate’s Degree. She had a long career in the nursing field, with the last ten years employed at Granite Hill School in Newport, NH.  

Cynthia was a beautiful spirit that was full of life. She had a magnetic personality that drew in friends and family alike. She was an easy to approach, peace loving, caring, go with the flow, down to earth person that had adventure and fire in her heart. Cynthia loved painting, and spending time with her friends and family in her backyard, either playing a game of cards, having a simple BBQ, or just enjoying a good laugh. She loved those around her deeply, and was deeply loved in return, she will be greatly missed. 

Surviving family include her husband, John Walker of Newport, mother, Ethel Moulton of Clearwater, FL, children, Cecilia Durkee of Newport, Erica Walker of Norwich, CT, and Mark Walker of Goshen, NH, sisters, Patricia Brookes of Clearwater, FL, Diane Goodman of Winchester, NH, Lisa Pratt of Claremont, and, grandchildren, Kyle Walker of Auburn, NH, and Preston Walker of Braintree, MA, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

Memorial calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 10am to noon, with a memorial service at noon at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH.  Informal dress is requested; Cynthia would have wanted everyone to be comfortable.
