David J. Powell, Jr.

Lempster, NH: David J. Powell, Jr. died suddenly on August 26, 2018 at his home in Lempster.  Dave was born on October 2, 1976 in Hanover, NH to David, Sr. and Dede (Chapman) Powell.

Dave has lived in the area his entire life.  He has worked at a variety of places, including LaValley Building Supply, Bruce Brown Auto, and most recently at Excalibur Shelving Company.  Dave always enjoyed working with his hands, taking things apart and fixing them.  He liked 4-wheeling, repairing vehicles, and anything to do with his Harley.

Dave was a loving husband and wonderful father.  He was full of life and enjoyed having a good time.  He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Braxton Smith.

Surviving family members include his wife and partner of 16 years, Selena (Whitman) Powell of Lempster, their children, Felisha Powell, and David Powell, III, his son, Tyler Powell, parents, David, Sr. and Dede Powell of Goshen, siblings, Albon Powell and his wife, Sarah, Nathan Powell and his wife, Sarah, Helen Powell, brothers-in-law, Zac Smith, Edward Page and his wife, Heather, and Maddox Smith, aunt, Joanne Hertzler and her husband, Leon, along with their children, Becky, Beth, and Susie, nephew, Gavin, nieces, Nellie, Julia, Meredith, and Meadow, in-laws, Tracy Page and Jr. Flanders, and Bruce and Vicky Page, and other extended family members.

There will be a memorial service at his home at 1233 US Rte 10 Lempster, NH at 3pm on Saturday September 8th followed by a bonfire and celebration of his life because Dave always said he wouldn't want people to mourn him, he'd want everybody to celebrate him.
