Ernest G. Dennis, Sr.

Goshen, NH - Ernest G. Dennis, Sr., 92, of Goshen, NH passed on March 26, 2018 surrounded by his family. He is survived by the love of his life, Lillian Dennis. He also leaves his four sons, Ernest, Jr. and his wife Barbara, Richard and his wife Deborah, Gary and his wife Marianne, and Kenneth and his wife Linda.

A loving grandfather to Richard, Jr., Bryan, Jessica, Laura, Kevin, Cara, and Kyle Dennis.
Great-grandfather to Katelyn and Justin Dennis.

Born in Bristol, RI, and raised in Providence, RI, he was the son of Louis and Evelyn Dennis.

Ernest and Lillian were married on June 28, 1947. They recently celebrated 70 years of marriage. Ernest served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, as did many others at the time.

Ernest was a master craftsman. He enjoyed building beautiful furniture and clocks, which he enjoyed giving to friends and family. He spent 11 years employed at Sturm Ruger before his retirement.  

Until 1998, he and Lillian enjoyed spending their winters in Brooksville, FL, where they made many wonderful friends and memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Newport, NH, on Friday, April 6th at 10 AM. On Saturday, April 7th, a celebration of life will be held at the Backside Inn, Goshen, NH, from 1-4 PM.
