Everett H. Ploss

Newport, NH: Everett H. Ploss, 92, died on April 19, 2017 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 14, 1924 in Beverly, MA to the late Henry M. and Florence M. (Neagles) Ploss.

Everett served his country in the US Navy in the Caribbean and Pacific during WWII.
He worked as a machinist at Cone Auto, Federal Tool, Micro Precision, Interstate Manufacturing, Latva Macine, and was supervisor at Gloenco. In his free time, Everett enjoyed woodworking. Everett and his wife, Grace, were longtime members of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Newport.

Everett was predeceased in 2007 by his loving wife of 59 years, Grace Ruth (Baker) Ploss; his parents; his sisters, Helen Pike, Mildred Baker, and Ella Sanborn; his brother, Richard Ploss; his son-in-law, Larry McNeel; and his two daughters, Terry and Sheridan.

Surviving family members include his sons, Ricky and his wife, Karen, of Croydon, and Brett and his wife, Donna, of Newport; daughter, Meredith McNeel of Krum, TX; sister, Virginia Maruzzi; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 1st, 2017 at 11 AM for both Everett and Grace at Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport, NH on the day of what would be their 69th wedding anniversary.

Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
