Jessie J. Royal

Jessie James Royal, 29, Littleton, passed away on April 17th, 2017 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born on October 4th, 1987 in Claremont, NH to Melissa Davis and Matthew Royal. He grew up in Newport and Claremont NH, where he enjoyed all outdoor activities including snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and anything involving his older brother Harley. He attended public schools and obtained his GED. Jessie loved working outdoors and made a living doing paving, roofing, construction and firewood, and after he became unable to work he was the best stay-at-home Dad anyone could ask for. While living in Colebrook, he met his fiancé Shannon Howland. The couple has lived in Tamworth, Whitefield, and most recently Littleton, NH.

Jessie was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and tattoo art (both giving and receiving). Other passions of his include going fishing, driving, and listening to music. Jessie had a rough exterior yet a heart of gold. He loved deeply and loved spending time outdoors and with his children. He always had a smile on his face when spending time with his family and close friends. He was a wonderful Partner/Fiancé, Father, Son and Brother who was and will continue to be an inspiration to us all. His story of strength, determination, courage, and passion for life will live with us forever.

Jessie leaves behind a large group of family and friends who will continue to love him, miss him, and keep his memory alive. He is survived by his fiancé Shannon Howland of Littleton, NH, his daughter Adaleine Creighton 10, his son Parker Royal 5, and his step-daughter Breeah Normand 12, his mother Melissa "Missy" Royal of Churchville, VA, his father Matthew Royal and step-mother Rachel Edgerton of West Stewartstown, NH, his siblings Harley Royal and his fiancé Jacqueline Masson of Newport, NH, Crystal Royal, Lacey Royal, Riley Royal and Chloe Royal all of West Stewartstown, NH, nieces Kaitlyn Fowler and Zoe Royal, nephews Manuel and Roman Patricio, in-laws Maurice and Susan Howland of Littleton, NH, sisters-in-law Jennifer Noyes and her husband Eben, Kym Prive, Catrina Howland, and Marissa Howland and her fiancé Keith Champagne, and best friend Kristie Bergdol, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him. He is predeceased by his step-father Michael Draper 7/30/2015, his nana, Alyne "Ginny" Royal (1/2/2005), his grandparents Gordon Davis (5/7/2012) and Florence Davis (8/13/1996).

​A memorial service will take place at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH on Friday, May 12th at 6PM.

There will be a Celebration of Life Benefit for Jessie on May 13th, 2017 at 4pm. It will be held at the Newport Veterans Club,118 John Stark Hwy, Newport NH, all family and friends of Jessie are welcome and encouraged to attend.
