Lucille Mary Babbitt

Newport, NH - Lucille Mary Babbitt, 85, died at Pine Rock Manor in Warner, NH on March 25, 2018.

Born on July 28, 1932 to Ernest and Bernadette (Richard) Babbitt, Lucille was a true Newport native.  After she graduated from Towle High School with the class of 1951, Lucille worked at International Shoe in Newport.  From there, she worked as a senior planner in the material control department at Joy Manufacturing for twenty-nine years.

Lucille was a devout member of St. Patrick Catholic Parish in Newport.  She enjoyed golfing at Newport Golf Club, reading, and watching sports on television.  She was a real "people person."

Lucille is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Norbert Babbitt. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lucille's name may be made to the Newport Senior Center, P.O. Box 378, 76 S Main St, Newport, NH 03773.

Calling hours will be held on Monday April 2, 2018 from 12 - 1 P.M. at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the near future at St. Patrick Catholic Parish with burial in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.
