Natalie June (Mavor) Miles

Natalie June Mavor Miles passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday December 4th, 2019. 

She was born March 28th, 1964 to Australian Ballroom Dance Champions Roy and June Mavor in Halifax, NS. Natalie spent her childhood years in the Houston and Dallas areas.  At the age of 15, she joined Brigham Young University's Ballroom Dance Team before relocating to Los Angeles. There she would spend a majority of her adult life pursuing a career in ballroom dancing. She would go on to compete and perform ballroom around the world spreading her love and light to everyone who saw her. 
In 2004, she met her husband Braden on a cruise ship in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. They were married in 2006 and settled in the Newport/Sunapee area. Natalie opened The Newport Ballroom in 2008 in Newport NH taking over the Masons Lodge on the third floor of the Harrington building. There she would continue to spread her ray of sunshine in the Sunshine Town teaching ballroom and Latin dancing. She was heavily involved in the local Newport Dancing with the Stars, creating, choreographing and putting that show together for 10 years. Natalie loved ballroom dancing and sharing her love of ballroom with others.

Natalie is predeceased by her father Roy Mavor (1988).  Surviving family includes her husband Braden Miles, mother June Mavor, siblings Julie Schiller, Virginia Taylor, Greg Mavor and his wife Jackie, and Megan Mavor.  Neices and nephews include:  Natalie Godfrey and husband Josh, Chris Mavor, Jamie Soto and husband Robert, Melanie Mavor, Brooke Taylor, Ashley Taylor, Elliot Miles, Fletcher Miles and Grace Miles. 

Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ascutney, Vermont on Saturday December 14th at 10 a.m. A reception will be held at the church immediately following the service. 

Burial will be held in the Spring.
