William Patrick Harold, Sr.

William P. Harold Sr., 94, of Newport NH passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Tuesday, July 18th, 2017.

He was pre-deceased by his wife Ruth (Adkins) Harold, daughters Sandra Grantham and Susan O'Connor and granddaughter Jennifer Laquire. He was a World War II veteran and served for two years.

He is survived by his daughter Mary Branch and her husband Rocky Branch, and his son Billy Harold Jr. and his wife Nancy Harold. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild with another on the way.

Thanks to grandson Joel Harris, William was able to live comfortably at home when times got tough for him. Joel lived with him and took care of him with daily help from his daughter Mary, and two of his granddaughters, Angel Branch and Colleen O'Connor.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main St, Newport, NH.

A funeral service will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 32 Beech St, Newport, NH 03773 at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017. Burial will immediately follow at Mill Village Cemetery in Goshen.
