Goshen, NH: Albert P. Ash, 89, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2020 after a short period of declining health. He was born on February 6, 1931 in Concord, NH to the late Edgar and Blanche (Hillsgrove) Ash.
Albert served his county in the US Army, stationed in Germany. He worked at Ruger for more than 25 years and was an active member of the VFW. Albert liked camping and enjoyed snowmobiling. He was a member of the Twin Ridge Snowmobile Club.
Albert was predeceased by his wife 64 years, Patricia Ash, infant son, Stanley Ash, brothers, Sidney, Wesley, Stanley, Leslie, Archie, Everett, Warren, and Edgar Ash, sisters, Ruth Haselton and Hazel Reed, and infant brothers, Richard and Ralph.
Surviving family include his children, James Ash and his wife, Beth of Newport, Phillip "Tuffa" Ash and his wife, Teresa of Newport, daughter, Terry Young and her husband, Robert of Unity, sister, Betty Leatherberry of Unity, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members, and his wonderful dog, Bud.
Per Al's wishes, no public services will be held. A private burial will take place in Goshen.
Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home of Newport is assisting the family with arrangements.
