Allen William Bullis, Jr.
July 9, 1943 ~ October 1, 2023 (age 80) 80 Years Old
Sunapee, NH: Allen William Bullis, Jr., 80, of Sunapee, passed away at his home on October 1, 2023. Allen was a loving husband and devoted father, grandfather, and Papa who will be dearly missed.
Allen was born in Newport, NH on July 9, 1943 to the late Allen Sr. and Eleanor (Perkins) Bullis. He lived in the area his entire life.
He graduated from Simonds High School in Warner, the Class of 1961, and worked as a machinist at Sturm-Ruger in Newport for 41 years, over 20 of them as a Supervisor.
He served honorably in the United States Navy, was a member of the American Legion in Newport, a life-long member of the VFW and NRA, and was an Elder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ascutney, VT.
Allen was an avid hunter and fisherman, whether he went fishing on a lake, the ocean, in a brook, or ice fishing. He flew to Canada for some of his hunting, and won many trophies in trapshooting.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Linda Bullis; previous wife and mother to his children, Marilyn (Bean) Bullis; son Michael Bullis; son Kevin Bullis and his wife Sarah; daughter Theresa Atwood and her husband Tom; son Jason Churchill and his wife Gabriel; son Jeffrey Churchill and his wife Kate; daughter Michelle Kennett and her husband Larry; daughter Danielle Hines and her husband Ronald; son Samuel Churchill and his wife Jenny; brother Richard Bullis and life partner Tony; sister Shirley Bullis; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other family members, Paula Tiberio, Jerry Churchill and his wife Anne, and Barry Churchill and his wife Cindy; and many more extended family members.

Calling hours will be held at on Thursday October 5, 2023 from 5-7 PM at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH. Funeral services will take place at on Friday October 6, 2023 at 10 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5431 US-5, Ascutney, VT, with Burial with Military Honors to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport. A reception will then be held back at the Church.
