Arthur John Durgin, 83, passed away in Bushnell, Florida on February 8, 2025. He was born in Newport, New Hampshire on March 6, 1941 to John and Lula Durgin. Arthur was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and pulled horses for over 50 years throughout New England and Florida. He spent many years in the lumber business as part owner of Durgin and Crowell Lumber Company and partnered in Hemphill Power and Light Company as well as Springfield Management.
Arthur is survived by his Wife, Susan Durgin of Bushnell, FL, a daughter, Belinda (Dubie) Durgin Dattola and his beloved Donkey Maggie of Bushnell, FL, Sisters, Beatrice Mountain Newport, NH and Joyce Desaulniers of Antrim, NH. Brothers Kenny Durgin of Walpole, NH, Bruce Durgin Deerfield, NH, Jeff Durgin Antrim, NH as well as several Nieces, Nephews, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Special thanks to Karen Wentzell of Bushnell, FL for her many years of dedication.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lula Durgin, a son Daniel Durgin and Brothers John Durgin, Ronald Durgin, Raymond Durgin and Roland Durgin and many horse pulling friends.

Calling hours will be held at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home in Newport, NH on February 21, 2025 from 4pm to 6pm. A burial service will be conducted at a later date to be determined in Newport, NH.
