Barbara Speer Obituary
Croydon, NH: Barbara Speer, 88 of Croydon, passed away at her home on October 1, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Barbara was born to Christian and Ida (Bradley) Schofield on August 18, 1935 in Stamford, CT.
Barbara worked at Stamford Hospital as a Registered Laboratory Technologist for many years before moving to Croydon and working as the secretary at Speers Kawasaki Yamaha in Newport. She was a member of the Croydon Ladies Auxiliary for 20 years, and a member of Turn of River Presbyterian Church in Stamford, CT.
Barbara loved trains, painting, and building homemade steam engine boats.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brother Roger Schofield; and her sister, Linda Garrett.
Her surviving family includes her loving husband of 65 years, Sanford Speer, her son Carl Speer and his spouse Robin of Croydon, NH, her son Andrew Speer of Rutland, MA; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
