Beverly Ann (Shedd) Shepard

Newport, NH - Beverly Ann Shepard of Cheney Street in Newport passed away peacefully at the Jack Byrne Palliative and Hospice Care Center on Monday, April 11, 2022, after a brief illness.  She was born on August 22, 1933, in Newport, New Hampshire, to the late Robert and Agnes Shedd. Beverly was educated in Newport, graduating from Towle High School in the class of 1951. 

Beverly enjoyed reading, playing dice and cribbage, and doing puzzles. She frequented the New London Barn Playhouse and, in the summertime, could be found on her porch with her husband Mark watching the world go by. Beverly volunteered at the Newport Thrift Shoppe and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Beverly is predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Mark, and their son, Mark E. Shepard, as well as four sisters. Surviving family includes her sister, Madeline Jackson of Claremont; her sister Shirley Larviere of Claremont; many nieces and nephews; and some very special friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Richards Free Library, 58 North Main Street, Newport, NH, or Newport Thrift Shoppe, 37 John Stark Highway, Newport, NH. A graveside service will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Newport on Friday, April 29 at 1:00 PM.
