Brian D. Wright "Tyke", 70 of Lempster, NH passed away on February 13, 2025 after a brave battle with cancer.
Tyke was born in Newport, NH on September 25, 1954 to Morris and Exelia (Beliveau) Wright. Tyke graduated from Newport High School in 1973. Tyke lived his life for the outdoors. From growing up and working on the farm, to becoming an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved taking his kids and grandkids out with him, sharing his passion with them. He was a terrific gardener growing different kinds of fruit trees and vegetables. He was a hard working man. He worked 30 years at Dorr Woolen in the dye house, and then 10 years for the town of Newbury, driving trucks and snow plows. He instilled his strong work ethic on to his children.
Tyke was a collector, but mostly collected antique trivets and knives. He also had an antique truck he liked to take to car shows. Tyke also had his own saw mill where he spent a lot of his time after retiring. Throughout the years he made maple syrup in his sugar house and showed his skills of his wood working by building gun cabinets to chainsaw carved Indians and bears. He was a true craftsman.
Tyke was devoted to his family. He loved spending time with them. His four daughters were his pride and joy, and his grandkids were special to him. He also loved his double-pawed cat, Gabby.
