Bruce Nils Carlson

Claremont, NH: Bruce Nils Carlson, 68, passed away on April 18, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.  He was born on October 6, 1952 in Franklin, NH to the late Peter Nils Carlson and Jeanne J. (Amadio) Carlson. 

Bruce grew up on Long Island living for many years in Islip, Long Island.  He served on the Islip Volunteer Fire Department.  He loved music, played in a garage band, and wrote a book about his time in the garage band.  Bruce has spent the last 20 years in NH.  He is a lifelong New York Mets fan.

Bruce was predeceased by his parents and grandparents.  Surviving family members include his sister, Wendy O'Connor and her husband, John, of Claremont.   Bruce was a devoted and loving uncle to Sean O'Connor and his fiancé, Jen, Jessica O'Connor-Rathbun and her husband, Patrick,  and Kevin O'Connor, and great uncle to Isabella Rathbun and Maggie and Aiden O'Connor.  He was a great friend to many.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday April 21, 2021 from 5-7 PM at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH. 

A graveside service will be held on Monday May 10, 2021 at 2:30 PM in Bunker Hill Cemetery in Wilmot, NH.
