Newport, NH: Carmen V. Henault, 81, of Newport, died on November 26, 2023 in the comfort of home with her loving family by her side. Carmen had lived on the Bradford Road in Sunapee for 50 years.
Carmen was born in Hanover, NH on November 6, 1942, the daughter of Everett and Olive (Rickard) Brown. She was raised in Newport and was a graduate of Newport High School.
Carmen and her husband Robert welcomed into their home and hearts two children, Vicki and Randy.
Carmen worked for Holson Photo Album for 11 years and retired as a machine operator for Ruger.
Carmen remained active and enjoyed ice skating as well as roller skating. She loved spending time with her family and "running the roads" sight-seeing and visiting her friends. Many memories were made on several camping trips.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Vicki Lynn Martin of Newport; her son Randy E. Henault and wife Laura of Montana; four grandchildren: Kristin Lynn Martin, Kieth A. Martin, Jr., Benjamin E. Henault and his wife, Melody, and Cory A. Henault; one great granddaughter Olive, brother Cedric Brown of Newport; her brother-in-law Willis Brown of Claremont; and many nieces and nephews.
Carmen was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Robert W. Henault, brother, Leonard Brown, and by two sisters, Carol Cote and Connie Brown.
A Graveside Service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery on Saturday, December 9th at 10:00 a.m., followed by a gathering of family and friends at Masonic Lodge #9, 30 Maple Ave., Claremont, NH.
