Carol Julie (Haskell) Holt, 68, of Claremont, NH, passed away on Monday, April 20th, 2026. Born in Claremont, NH on September 12th, 1957 to Stanley and Marjorie (Parizzo) Haskell. She was most known for her wittiness, sarcasm, and the jokes she told to make those around her laugh until their bellies hurt.
Carol lived life on her own terms, when she could, and she faced many challenges in her own way. Her story was uniquely her own, and those who knew her will carry many memories from many different seasons of her life.
A week before Christmas in 1995, Carol had a stroke that paralyzed her on her left side. She underwent many operations, most with her daughters and sister by her side. She was a stubborn soul who fought through each battle in life, refusing to give up.
Her surviving family includes her daughter Heidi (Haskell) and husband Luke Remick of Mount Joy, PA, her sister Beverly (Haskell) and husband Rodney LaClair Sr. of Newport, NH, her six grandchildren: Ethan, Desirea, and Alyssa from her daughter Michelle, and Malachi, Caleb, and Angelica from her daughter Heidi. Carol has 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Stanley Holt, parents, her sisters Rebecca Haskell and Kathleen Coull, her brother David Haskell, and her daughter Michelle Haskell.
Graveside services will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 16th, 2026 at St. Patrick’s Cemetery on Summer Street in Newport, NH.
