During her active years as a Registered Nurse, she worked at several hospitals across New England including Henry Heywood Memorial Hospital in Gardner, MA, The Veterans Administration Hospital in West Haven, CT, Grace New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT, St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton, MA, Cardinal Cushing Memorial Hospital in Brockton, MA, and finally Newport Hospital in Newport, NH where she retired to focus on raising her seven children.  At one point she even raised one of her grandchildren.

As the years passed, she found great joy in gardening, especially container gardening.

She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Newport, NH and truly loved her faith her whole life.  She was very conscious of others' needs and  a friend of the NAAC Food Pantry in Newport.

At the time of her passing she had just celebrated her 58th wedding anniversary with John.  She is survived by her husband, her daughters Laura Maxfield, Regina Grover [and her spouse James Grover], April Parelius [and her spouse Walter Parelius], Amy Merchant [and her spouse Mason Merchant], Anna Stone [and her spouse Shane Stone] and her sons David Casey Sr and John J. Casey IV [and his spouse Hannah Zenn Casey].She has sixteen grandchildren, David Jr., Ian, Shane II, Sheridan, Lucas, Gabriella, Abbygayle, Deanna, Caleb, Keagan, Matthew, John V, Zavier, Hayden, Cayla, and Sofia, and five great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brothers, James Wiley, Robert Wiley [and his spouse Carolann Wiley], her sister-in-law Casey Rowe, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Kenneth Wiley, and sister Marcia Griffin.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, she asked that donations be made to The Piarist School, 7279 S KY Rt 321, Hager Hill, KY 41222.  A nondenominational school, they charge no tuition, support the community, and invest in the education of children in grades 6-12 helping them achieve their college goals.  Every graduate of this school has attended college.
