Chase Kenyon, 73, of Bradford, NH passed away on August 29, 2024 after many years of declining health. Chase was raised in Simsbury, CT and in the early 1980s relocated with his wife to New Hampshire.
He was an honorably discharged veteran, having served four years in the U.S. Navy.
He had a career as a software/robotics engineer, and chaired some of the International Mobile Robotics conferences during the 1990s. At the same time, he engaged in a part-time business of restoring and repairing stringed instruments. This stemmed from him having been a student of the cello for many years during his youth.
Chase was an avid skier and snowboarder, and taught for many years at local ski areas. The “Ski-Wee” program at King Ridge had been one of his favorite teaching experiences.
His work in the engineering community kept him away from home fairly often, so he opted to put his finish-carpentry skills to work as his main employment during the late 1990's and early 2000s.
He leaves his wife, Marilyn Kenyon of Bradford, his son Samuel Kenyon of Los Angeles, CA and his daughter Theresa Kenyon of Bradford; his brother Kim Kenyon (and family) of East Lyme, CT, his brother Craig Kenyon (and family) of Phoenix, AZ and his brothers-in-law, Edward and Timothy McManus of Bradford.
A private memorial for immediate family members will be held.
