Cheryl A. (Raffuse) Briggs Obituary

Newport, NH: Cheryl A. (Raffuse) Briggs, formerly Cheryl Ryan, passed away at her home in Newport on January 23, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on October 29, 1963 in New London, CT to Theodore and Geraldine (Spencer) Raffuse.

Cheryl lived for her children and grandchildren and would do anything for them.  She went to many activities and sporting events over the years that her kids and grandkids participated in.  Even through her illness, she was positive, happy, and always had a smile.  Cheryl enjoyed travelling and adventures.  She liked to visit the ocean and go camping on the Saco River.  She was quite crafty, always making something from nothing.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving family members include her parents, Ted and Gerry Raffuse of CT; children, Ashley Kosch and her fiancé, Josh Elder of Newport, Arthur Kosch, Jr. and his wife, Emerald Kosch of Newport, and Cheyenne Dustin of Croydon; siblings, Doug Raffuse and his wife, Senona, of CT, Terri Ensulo and her husband, Greg, of CT, Greg Raffuse of Newport, and Stephen Raffuse and his partner, Jess, of CT; and grandchildren, Cadence, Cory, and Preston.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
