Christopher Fortugno Obituary
Newport, NH: Christopher M. Fortugno, 48, passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2023.
Chris was born in Clinton, MA on November 10, 1974 to Kevin Chase and Viola Fortugno Cioffi.
He worked at Osgood Welding in Claremont as a fabricator/master welder for over 12 years.
Chris was smart, witty, with a dry sense of humor. He was loved by everyone he met. He had no children of his own, but took the role of stepdad to Bryant Dole very seriously. He was Papa to Grayson Dole, who he loved very much.
Chris was an avid reader, loved camping, fishing, and hanging out at "the Garage". He loved spending time with Grayson.
He was a member of the S.A.L. at the Veteran's Club in Newport, and also the Moose Lodge of Newport.
Chris was predeceased by his mom, Viola.
His surviving family includes his partner in life Shelly Dole of Newport, NH, father Kevin Chase, sister Samantha Cioffi Gamache and husband Michael of Clinton, MA, stepson Bryant Dole and wife Brittney Stevens of Newport, NH, nephew Jameson Gamache and niece Elisabeth Gamache of Clinton, MA, and grandson Grayson Dole of Newport, NH.
A celebration of life will take place at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at the Moose Lodge, 18 Golf Club Road, Newport, NH.
