Cleo Maxine Hartwell

Newport, NH - Cleo Maxine Hartwell, 85, passed away at Sullivan County Nursing Home in Unity, NH on March 7, 2020 after a period of declining health.

Cleo was born on January 17, 1935 in Fresno, CA to the late Lazarus and Sadie (Poe) Paul. She grew up and attended school in Southern California before moving to New Hampshire in the 1960's with her family. Cleo worked at Dorr Woolen for over twenty years.

She was always up for some fun, whether it was playing bingo or travelling to visit family out west, she loved to have a good time.  Above all else, she loved her family.

Cleo is predeceased by her parents and her sister, Alice Young.  Surviving family includes her daughter, Sheryle Hartwell  and her husband Richard Pockett of Newport; sons, Michael Hartwell and his wife Lori of Claremont and Thomas Hartwell of Newport; brothers, Daniel Paul and his wife Marlene of Oregon and William Paul and his wife Joy of Arizona; and her beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Private services will be held.
