Cody Jerry Edward Pillsbury

Newport, NH: Cody Jerry Edward Pillsbury, 22, died in a motorcycle accident riding with his grandfather in Boscawen, NH on September 7, 2020.  He was born on June 15, 1998 in New London, NH to Dwayne E. Pillsbury and Laura L. (Proper) Glynn. 

Cody grew up in the Newport area graduating from Newport High School.  He had worked at LaValley Building Supply for more than 6 years.  Cody was great with computers and was always willing to lend a hand to those who weren't so good with technology.  He sang in the chorus while in high school and always liked music and playing the organ and keyboard.  He enjoyed hiking in the White Mountains, kayaking, fishing, playing golf, and going to the ocean.  He liked travelling with family and bowling with his coworkers from LaValley.  He loved chicken nuggets.  Cody will be greatly missed by his friends and loving family.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Wayne and Beverly Pillsbury, uncle, Rod Pillsbury, and infant sister, Mindy Proper.

Surviving family include his parents, Dwayne Pillsbury and his wife, Lydia of Newport, and Laura Glynn and her fiancé, Emery Rines of Newport, sister, Mandy Pillsbury of Claremont, brothers, Justin Pillsbury of Bennington, NH, and Devin MacIntyre of Claremont, grandparents, Eunice Proper, Mildred Fowler, and Barbara and Dizzy Swain, nieces and nephews, Kassidee, Chevy, Virginia, Aaron, Zoey, Malachi, and Lenore, and many extended family members. 

A memorial service will be held at the Newport Moose, 18 Golf Club Rd, Newport, NH on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 1 pm with calling hours and reception to follow until 4 pm.

Burial will immediately follow in Eastman Cemetery on North Road in Sunapee.
