Dan L. Wright, Jr.

Newport, NH: Dan Wright, Jr., 65, passed away at the Jack Byrne Center on October 7, 2023, after battling a long term illness.

He was born in Claremont, NH on October 15, 1957 to the late Dan Sr. and Jean (Gonyo) Wright.

Dan worked at Sturm-Ruger for 23 years, but his passion for the outdoors inspired him to start his own landscaping business. With his business, he devoted a lot of time taking care of the elderly.

He loved hunting and fishing, and playing softball. He coached and umpired for the Little League for many years.

Dan loved spending time with his family. His favorite time with them was always sitting down to a good meal to enjoy their company.

He was predeceased by his wife, Vicky (Avery) Wright.

Surviving family include his daughter Michelle Roth and her husband William of Sunapee, NH, his son Steve Wright of Newport, NH, his sister Gloria Taylor of Dover, NH, his grandchildren Johanna and John Roth of Sunapee, NH, his aunt and uncle Betty and Roger Gonyo of North Newport, NH, and his many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
