Darlene Kimball Obituary

Darlene Lee Kimball, 63 of Marlow New Hampshire passed away June 14th, 2026 at Cheshire Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.

Darlene was born September 4th, 1962 in Keene, New Hampshire to James and Roberta Kiniry Later to be adopted by Walter and Elsie Sharon of Charlestown, New Hampshire.

Darlene had her first two beautiful children very young. Some time later she met her true love, James Kimball. Together they found a love they would always cherish and treasure. They spent 36 years together as husband and wife, having four more wonderful children. They were always by each other's side, through everything life brought their way. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and faithful friend.

As a stay at home mother she always embraced it with creativity. Her grandchildren held an especially dear place in her heart and being “Nana” was one of her greatest joys. The ocean always brought out the best in her, the moment she was near the water, her smile said everything.

Her faith was at the center of her life. Darlene was always involved in the church and believe wholeheartedly in the power of prayer. If you shared a struggle, a worry, or even a small concern, chances are she would tell you a “Keep On Trucking” and immediately offer to pray for you. Darlene had a heart that was always turned towards others. No matter what was going on in her own life, she made time to show up for people with a helping hand, a kind word, or simply her presence.

Though she will be deeply missed, her love, faith and joyful spirit will continue to stay in the hearts of all who loved her.

She is predeceased by her biological parents James and Roberta Kiniry of Keene, NH, her parents Walter and Elsie of Windham, VT, brother Garry Sharon of Peru, VT, and sister Lisa Martell of Wichita Falls, TX.

Left to cherish her memory are, her best friend and husband James Kimball of Marlow, NH, Children: Chad Blodgett of Claremont, NH, Shane Blodgett of Claremont, NH, Stephanie Vandal and husband Tom of Springfield, VT, Elijah Kimball of Tigard, OR, Isaiah Kimball and wife Ginger of Honea Path, SC, Mariah Reid and husband Samuel of Greenland, NH, Leah Johnson and husband Ezekiel of Windham, VT.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Newport, NH. A private burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, though she would have greatly appreciated them, the family asked that you do something kind for somebody, say a prayer, and if the moment calls for it, dance.
