Croydon, NH - Deborah J. Wesoja “Deb” died peacefully in Merrimack, NH, on October 7, 2025, at the age of 63.
Deb was born on March 6, 1962, in Foxborough, MA, to Lena Weaver and Rev. Dr. Stephen Weaver.
Deb got her first horse in 1980, starting her lifelong passion and love for horses.
She spent her childhood in Sunapee, NH, before moving on to Colby-Sawyer College and graduating in 1986.
Deb worked as an athletic trainer at Kimball Union Academy before moving to Croydon, NH, where she built Oak Hill Farm.
There, her dedication and love for horses would be shared with many. Whether it was a lead-line lesson, hunter-jumper, reining, summer camp, or even just a place to be with others who enjoyed the sport, Oak Hill Farm was a home away from home for many, with Deb as its pillar.
Over the years, Deb taught hundreds of kids. Through both laughter and tears, she helped riders of all ages find themselves through her coaching. All who were lucky enough to receive her coaching would be quick to tell you they received much more than just a riding lesson.
Deb was an active and dedicated member of many organizations in the horse world. In 2024, she became the head coach of Colby-Sawyer’s riding team. She was well-known in many circles, including many years volunteering with 4-H, New Hampshire Hunter Jumper (NHHJA), National Reining Horse Association (NRHA), Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA), Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA), and many more.
Even with running Oak Hill Farm, coaching Colby-Sawyer, and being involved in many organizations, Deb would always find time to help if a friend was in need.
Deb will be remembered as a mother, sister, trainer, coach, daughter, friend, and, most importantly, a hero to many in her circle.
Deb is predeceased by her parents, Steve and Lena.
Surviving family members include her children, Kristen Wesoja and Alex Wesoja, and her siblings, Skip Weaver and Mark Weaver.
A private burial is scheduled for the family.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 19th, at 285 Reeds Mill Road, Croydon, NH 03773. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Deb’s life at Oak Hill Farm.
