Dennis "Hippi" Davis

Georges Mills, NH: Dennis “Hippi” Davis, 66, died peacefully at the Jack Byrne Hospice Center in Lebanon on June 27, 2024. He was born on February 1, 1958 in Newport, NH to the late Gordon and Florence (Hill) Davis.  

Hippi grew up in the Newport/Sunapee area attending local schools and spent his life living in Sullivan County, Bradford, and Sutton. He worked for many years as a logger before health issues forced him to stop. He was an independent person who loved nature and being outdoors. He liked rock music, dancing, and spending time with people. He enjoyed 4 wheeling, cribbage, horseshoes, and going to concerts. He loved his family and his Malchi dog, Bud.

Hippi was predeceased by his parents; longtime partner, Linda West; brother, Dave Davis; nephew, Jesse Royal and Linda’s son, Jeff West. 

Family members include his sons, Joshua and Jason Davis; grandchildren, Lily, Lindsay, Liam, Tyler, and Tony Davis; sisters, Donna Larrow, children Bridget and Brad, and Melissa Royal, son Harley; sister-in-law Sally Davis, children Kathy and Corey, and their families; Linda’s children, Amy Kemp, children Ryan and Jacob; Scott West, children Kayla, Matthew, Beverly; Jeff’s children Riley and Angelleea and their families, and many cousins and extended family members and friends. 

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday July 16, 2024 at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, from 5-7 PM with remarks and remembrances at 6 PM. Please bring a photo to share (we will copy it).
