Unity, NH: Diane Marie Landry, of Unity, NH, was born on January 8, 1959, in Peterborough, NH, and passed away peacefully on December 16, 2023, after a year of treatment for melanoma. She is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Mark Landry; her two beloved daughters, Stacy Andes and Kimberley Oars, and son-in-law, Ryan Oars, of West Chester, PA. She joins her mother and father, Charles and Barbara Pickard; her brother, James Pickard; nephew, Terry Pickard; her father-in-law, Leonide Landry; and her son-in-law, Christopher Andes. Diane was an Army wife for 27 years and worked as a paraeducator, librarian, and administrative assistant in Department of Defense schools for more than ten years, and she worked in the Newport and Claremont school districts for over twenty years in special education and as administrative assistant to the principal. Diane was deeply devoted to her faith and her family, and she could be found volunteering her time to many things over the course of her life from Girls Scouts to Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) to Eucharistic Ministry in the various parishes she belonged. She received the Mary E. Walker Award for Outstanding Military Spouse for her many hours of service to the military community and was recognized by the Commanding Generals of Forscom, Tradoc, ICorps, Fort Lewis, and the Governor of the State of Washington for her tireless commitment to serving her communities. All who knew Diane experienced the warmth and love that she extended to everyone and could feel the care and compassion that she poured into everything that she did, especially for her family and friends.
