Earle Powers Chadwick III, 75 of Lempster, NH passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 after a long battle with COPD. Known as Jack to his friends and family, Jack was born on August 30, 1948 in South Dakota, growing up on Cape Cod, MA. He is the son of the late Earle Powers Chadwick Jr., and Genevieve Chadwick formally of Harwich, MA.
In the early years Jack was in the Army stationed in Germany. In 1976 Jack and his surviving wife of almost 54 years Barbara moved to Lempster where they built their own house to raise their 3 children. Jack had a passion for old cars and restored a 1941 Hudson Coupe, and 1940 Chevy Sedan. Jack was a hard worker and spent many years as a polisher at Sturm Ruger in Newport. He also worked at Customized Structures Inc., and LaValley Building Supply. After retirement Jack could be found at the Goshen Ocean taking his puppy Tiana for walks. He enjoyed camping with his family and tinkering in the garage or yard on his Kubota.
Jack is survived by his wife Barbara, son Chris Chadwick of Hudson, NH, son Keith Chadwick and his wife Mindy of Lempster and his daughter Jennifer Weeden and her husband Dahn of Nottingham, NH. Grandchildren Taylor Chadwick, Joe Chadwick, Brittany Savageau, and Kevin Weeden. Great Grandchildren Brayden Savageau and Greyson Savageau. Sister Sue Barrett of Lempster, NH, Pam Snow of Harwich, MA, brother Ronald Chadwick of Zephyrhills, FL, brother-in-laws Scott Thivierge of South Yarmouth, MA, and Gary Thivierge of South Dennis, MA, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside remembrance of Jack’s life will be held on August 3, at the Lempster Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
