Elaine Helen (Lamberton) Bevilacqua 94, of Goshen, NH passed away on June 6, 2026.

Elaine was born on July 14, 1931 in Montpelier, VT to Kenneth and Catherine (Carpenter) Lamberton.  She spent her early years in Marshfield, VT where her family owned a dairy farm.  Their milk was used by the Cabot Creamery, which resulted in a cheese named after the family (Lamberton Cheddar Cheese).  She spent many years living in Milford, CT before settling in Goshen in 1957.  This is where she built her life raising her children.  Elaine and her husband operated Dave’s Pizza House during the summer months and instructed young skiers during the winter months.  She continued working in the food industry at the Newport High School cafeteria and Violette’s Market.  She also was a liaison for special needs clients connecting them to the community.

Elaine dedicated her life to her family, community and her faith.  She volunteered for the Red Cross and various children’s programs at the Lempster School and the Goshen Library.  Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, supporting her great grandchildren at sporting events and catching all of the gossip at her knitting group, where she would knit hats for the NICU at Dartmouth Hospital. She also made sure that the family was never short of mittens when Christmas came around.  Elaine poured her heart into her gardening and cooking, which she shared with everyone.

Elaine is survived by her two sons, Kevin (Tracey) Bevilacqua, Dale (Kellie) Bevilacqua, grandchildren, Brandie (Aron) Ferland, Brianne Bevilacqua (Chris Nelson), Ryann Singleton, Cory (Michaela) Bevilacqua, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, brother Roger Lamberton of Virginia and sister Lois Cutting of Pennsylvania.  Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Louis (Dave) Bevilacqua.

A celebration of life will be held on June 13, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Faith River Church 232 North Main St., Newport NH.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Goshen Library or Lake Sunapee Visiting Nurses, if desired.

Elaine will be remembered for prioritizing the needs of others and touching the lives of family, friends and all that knew her.  Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
