Elaine (Hurd) Gebo

Newport, NH - Elaine Hurd Gebo died peacefully at DHMC on May 1, 2020 in Lebanon, NH at the age of 82.

Elaine was born on May 8, 1937 to Ernest and Maxine Hurd in Newport, NH.

Elaine married Earl Gebo in 1954. They bought their home on Myrtle St. in Newport in 1966.

She worked in retail all her life.  She loved going to bingo every Wednesday with her best friend, Beatrice Mountain.  She also loved walking, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  They were the light of her life.

Elaine is predeceased by her husband, Earl Gebo, parents, Ernest and Maxine Hurd, and brothers, John Boutwell, Preston Hurd, and William Hurd, all of Newport, and Robert Hurd of Lempster.  Surviving family members include her daughter, Kathy Hannon of Newport, son, Brian Gebo and his wife, Marge of Newport, granddaughters, Brandy Benoit and her husband, David Benoit, Jr. of Newport, and Alyssa Gebo of Newport, grandsons, James Hannon of Unity and Cameron Gebo and his wife, Kaitlyn of Great Falls, MT, brother, Richard Hurd and his wife Dona of Newport, sister, Priscilla Nichols of California, sister-in-laws, Sherri Hurd of Newport and Roberta Hurd of Lempster, great-granddaughters, Mariah and Bryanna Benoit, and great-grandson, Aiden Hannon.
