Eric A. Johnson

Eric Albert Johnson passed away unexpectedly on July 14, 2023, in Newport, NH. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden death.

Eric was born on February 25, 1987 to Peter and Diana Johnson in Bristol, CT. He spent his childhood in Wells, VT and graduated from Granville High School in 2005. He then attended the College of St. Joseph’s and received his bachelors degree.

Eric took on many passions. One included technology and computers. He had an incredible talent in building computers. His vast knowledge and talents expanded to music and guitar building, wrestling, gaming, collecting, video editing and much more. He had a memory that always surprised us and a knowledge about anything and everything. He adored his cat, Mr. Sushi, and took incredible care of him.

One passion was the Japanese culture. He traveled to Japan and had such a meaningful experience. He had another trip planned, and as heartbroken as his family is that he will not be able to take it, there is a sense of thankfulness he was bold, brave, and made the journey when he did in 2019. 

Eric is survived by his parents Peter and Diana Johnson. He is forever remembered by his sister, Lisa DeGraff and her husband Sean DeGraff. He will forever be adored by his nieces Hannah and Leah, and nephew Luke. And also his many extended family members. He was a good son, brother, and uncle, and will be greatly missed. 

He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and coworkers. He enjoyed working for the postal service and valued his friendships there. His parents want to thank his friends near and far. He valued them as they brought him so much joy. Thank you for being a part of his life. 

There are no services planned as yet. A celebration of life will occur with details to be determined.
