Eunice A (Collins) Proper

Newport, NH: Eunice A. (Collins) Proper, 74, died on November 16, 2021 in Claremont, NH.  Her family takes comfort in knowing she's back with her beloved husband, Jerry Proper, who passed away on September 7, 2020.

Eunice was born in Newport, NH on June 11, 1947 to the late Richard Collins and Doris (Bashaw) Blair.  She attended Sunapee grade school and high school and  lived in the Newport/Sunapee area for most of her life.  Always a hard worker, Eunice spent many years working for Encore Shoe, Hartford-Eichenauer, McManus Dentistry, Linda Johnson Remax Real Estate, Health from the Sun, and Media Duplication.

Eunice was a kind, sweet lady with a great love for animals.  She could often be found yardsaling or watching one of her favorite cooking shows on the Food Network.  She is remembered as giving, loving, and generous.  Eunice loved spending time with her family, especially her children, and grandchildren. 

She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Jerry Proper, granddaughter, Mindy Lee Proper, and grandson, Cody Pillsbury.

Surviving family include daughters, Laura Pillsbury and her fiancé Emery Rines, Angela Proper, and Erica Proper. Brothers, Dale Collins, Bobby Blair, and Richard L. Collins, Jr. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren include Justin Pillsbury, Mandy Pillsbury, Jesse Ford, Kassidee Pillsbury, Chevy Wetherby, Virginia Wetherby, Aaron Pillsbury, Zoey Pillsbury, and Vincent Ford.  She had many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers in laws, sisters in laws, and close friends. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Meiko, and her cat Minnie.

The memorial service has been rescheduled for Saturday February 19, 2022 at 1 PM at the Newport Moose Center.
